The Art of Selection

Finding the right piece.

Fine art transforms the atmosphere of a room. It is not just about filling a wall; it is about creating a window into a quiet world. This guide helps you choose the scale, texture, and placement that fits your space.

01. Start With the Mood

Ask yourself what feeling you want to bring into the space. Calmness? Depth? Contrast?

Atmospheric prints work beautifully in bedrooms and living rooms where you want a softer emotional tone, a place to pause and breathe.

02. Scale & Rarity

Limited Editions are strictly limited. The edition size decreases as the print size increases, making larger works rarer.

03. Placement & Hanging

Eye Level Rule:
Hang the center of the artwork at about 145–155 cm (57–61 inches) from the floor. This is the standard gallery height.

Above Furniture:
Leave about 15–25 cm (6–10 inches) of breathing space between the furniture and the frame. The art needs room to float.

04. Texture & Quality

I use museum-grade Hahnemühle archival papers. The choice depends on the lighting in your room and the atmosphere you desire.

Matte (Photo Rag)

Zero reflection, velvet-like surface. Best for a calm, painterly atmosphere. Ideal for rooms with windows to avoid glare.

Pearl (Baryta)

Slight sheen, high definition. Best for drama and detail. The surface has a subtle glow that makes stars pop.
